Description
Special boot made for people with wider feet
The XBR is a slightly broader version of the regular model. The boot is 2mm wider at the heel and 4mm wider at the ball of the foot making this model ideal for people with a broader foot. Like the normal Gold 2005 boot this boot is handmade and completely thermoplastic, always ensuring a perfect fit. The combination of kangaroo leather and kevlar ensures that the boot is stiff and the fit is retained even after many uses. The boots have a soft calfskin lining and are approximately 120 grams lighter than the 2000 gold boots. This combination with the blade allows for both side to side movement and the front and back as well as back and forth movement thereby allowing the optimal position to be obtained.
The characteristic red anodised bridge is made of 7075 aluminium and has 3 times the tensile strength of ordinary stirrups. Because of this the skate is great for skating at high speeds, and this model is used by top skaters such as Sven Kramer and Ireen Wüst!
This set comes with 'Sprint' blades. The blade has a height of 40mm (compared to 35 mm normal) and will make you stronger and enable more lean in the corner. The blade has a hardness of 62 to 64 Rockwell making it easy to control.
All skates are supplied ready to use; this means bent and rockered (standard curve is 23 meters) If you would like a different radius, then please indicate this when completing your order.
