This is a unique new product, the ceramic gauge.
The gauges that are usually offered in combination with a radius gauge use a steel gauge.
The advantages of a ceramic gauge:
- Thermally insensitive up to 1700 degrees Celsius, this means that when changing from outside to inside (or outside to an ice rink), the gauge will not show any deformation.
- The material is much harder than standard beams. There will be no scratches, dents, streaks or grooves in the ceramic gauge.
- A property of ceramics is that it is straight, it cannot deform, for example, because it falls on the floor.
In summary: if you like to measure the curve of your iron, and you want to do this very precisely, this is the right one to buy!
